All Legionella Control & Prevention work should be recorded in a Legionella Log Book. A Log Book is a requirement of the ACOP L8. The HSE, CQC, Ofsted, Health & Safety Advisor, Environmental Health or any other interested party may ask to inspect your Log Book. Failure to maintain a Legionella Log Book is a breach of Health & Safety law.
As a part of your risk assessment we can produce a personalised Legionella Log Book for you. Our Log Books have been designed by our Water Wise Engineers to be straight forward and easy to understand, maintain and review in line with BS 8580-1.
Our Log Books will contain details of the Duty Holder(s), Responsible Person(s), contractors and a control & prevention scheme based on the risk assessment.
If we are carrying out any of the required tasks of flushing infrequently used outlets, temperature monitoring, TMV maintenance, legionella testing, awareness training, cleaning & disinfection we will regularly update your log book with the completed tasks. All you would need to add is service records for water heaters and cooling systems.
Our service team includes City & Guilds and NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualified plumbers who Water Industry Approved, members of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering and Water Safe registered. So you can be assured the required tasks are carried out to the required standards.
Please note our Legionella Log Books are not generic off the shelf books, they do not contain pages and pages of information or forms that you will never need or that is not relevent to your site. Our log books are personalised and specific to your site.
