The starting point for all Legionella control & prevention work is to prepare a Legionella control scheme. The scheme will detail those involved in carrying out the required tasks and their responsibilities.
All Legionella control & prevention work should be recorded in a Legionella Logbook. A logbook is a requirement of the ACOP L8. The HSE, CQC, Ofsted, Health & Safety Advisor, Environmental Health or any other interested party may ask to inspect your logbook. Failure to maintain a Legionella logbook is a breach of health & safety law.
As a part of our control & prevention services we can prepare a control scheme for you and maintain your Legionella logbook. Our logbooks have been designed by our Water Wise engineers to be straight forward, easy to understand, maintain and review. Each control scheme and logbook is specific to your site and not generic off the shelf copies.
As our service team carries out the required tasks we will maintain and send you your updated logbook on a regular basis ensuring your record keeping remains complaint with the HSE's ACOP L8. Or if you use our customer portal, we will upload your logbook to your portal for you to access anytime you want. Our service team includes City & Guilds and NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualified plumbers who are Water Industry Approved, members of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering and Water Safe registered. So, you can be assured the tasks are carried out to the required standards.
