The Health & Safety Executive do not require people to be
qualified to carry out a Legionella risk assessment, it only requires that they be competent. The level of competency will vary depending on the site. The competency required to assess a
domestic property will generally be lower than the competency required to assess an office. DIY assessments are suitable for domestic and low to medium risk properties. We offer three
levels of DIY assessment. Our cheapest option is a downloadable template with guidance notes that allow you to carry out basic Legionella risk assessments with the minimum of
"The service you have provided has been more usful than the
previous in-depth survey provided 2 years ago that was confusing and as such did not focus on the practical improvements we could and should make. Your report has allowed us a much better
understanding and from this we will make the improvements you have suggested" - West Hallam Medical Centre
We believe our standard and deluxe risk assessment
options to be unique in the UK. Yes, there are other DIY Legionella risk assessment products but, unlike other services where you are purchasing a template to download and fill in these
assessments are checked and assessed by one of our Trust Mark certified team giving you that extra piece of mind.
All three options allow for up to 3 domestic sized
cold-water storage tanks of any type. Up to 5 water heaters and up to 15 outlets. Anything over these limits and the system is larger than this service allows
For these services to be applicable to you your property must be
supplied by mains cold water, not include any solar panels, air or ground source heat pumps. The property must not be open to the public (unless you have a small domestic sized water system),
be any form of care home or have a water system larger than you would find in a domestic property. The service is ideal for domestic rented properties and small
If you share a hot water system with other properties such as flats or your water is heated by
anything other than a combi boiler, point of use or immersion type water heater then you do not have a standard domestic system and your risk assessment needs to be more in-depth than this service
allows for. This service is also not applicable for houses of multiple occupation (HMO).
To carry out the inspection you will need a temperature probe that has a range of between 0c to
100c. These can be bought very cheaply from most plumber’s merchants and DIY stores.
Forms that are sent to us with no water temperatures or that do not meet the criteria
stated above will still be charged for. If you have any questions, then please email us.
Once complete your risk assessment is valid for upto 2
