Please Note We Do Not Offer a 24/7 Emergency Service
Water Wise is a professional plumbing & consultancy service. Our engineers have achieved industry recognized qualifications as well as training from some of plumbing’s biggest names like Honeywell, Fernox & Cistermiser. We specialise in plumbing maintenance and ensuring that you have the right product to suit your needs. So, if you have a failing tap, noisy toilet cistern, high water/heating bills or vulnerable people in your home we can help. Our experienced engineers have achieved their qualifications over years of training and not through "quickie" courses that often fail to teach basic plumbing principles.
We also carry out independent inspections and surveys of hot and cold water & heating systems. Our reports can then be used in disputes with tradesmen, contractors or in support of insurance claims. Our inspectors are Water Industry Approved, Registered Plumbing Professionals and members of the Water Management Society, Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering and the Engineering Council.
Please note we do not inspect gas installations. Any complaint or concern about a gas installation should be reported directly to Gas Safe who will handle your complaint.

Water Industry Approved Plumbers & Your Water
As Water Industry Approved Plumbers, we hold "Approved Contractor" status under the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999. This means that we can carry out and certify works that other plumbers may need permission for from the local Water Authority. Our approved status also means that you can rest assured the work we carry out meets all the relevant legal requirements.
Most people do not normally have a problem with their water. Water supplied from the mains supply is regulated and should be what is called "Potable" water meaning it is safe to drink and wash in. The local water authority is legally responsible for the mains supply to your property boundary. Once water crosses your property boundary it becomes your responsibility and you are responsible for any leaks, contamination, misuse or "erroneous measurement".
Your water authority can provide you with a free report on water quality in your area and if you wish, test your water (there may be a fee for this). If you want to have your water tested independently, we can help. We can arrange to call to your property and take water samples to be tested by a UKAS accredited laboratory. We have a large range of testing options available. If you would like to have your water tested, then please email us with what issues you are having, and we can then provide you with a quote for the appropriate testing method.
Even when your water meets the legal standards it doesn't mean your water is right for you. You may have hard or soft water. You may even have a reaction to substances in your water such as chlorine, metals and minerals although this is rare. For some people even the acidity or alkalinity of water can be an issue. If you have problems with your water even though it meets the legal supply standards, we may be able to help.
