Most water systems need to be cleaned & disinfected at some point in their lifetime.  Often called chlorination the process involves using chemicals to kill any bacteria.

Water systems should be cleaned & disinfected when they are first installed, when substantial changes are made, all or part of the system has not been used for more than a few weeks or testing has shown the presence of bacteria.

At Water Wise our engineers are qualified plumbers who are Water Safe registered, members of the CIPHE and recognised as "Approved Contractors" under the Water Regulations.

Spray outlets (usually showers) need to be cleaned and disinfected at least quarterly.  Cold water storage tanks need to be cleaned and disinfected when there is a reason to do so such as a positive Legionella test or after a visual inspection identifies a risk.
