A Legionella Risk Assessment is the starting point to ensuring compliance with the HSE's ACOP L8, HSG 274 and the Department of Health's HTM 04-01. The purpose of the assessment is to identify any potential risk from Legionella bacteria and to recommend site specific control and prevention measures to minimise and manage those risks. All assessments need to be carried out by someone who is competent to assess the risk from Legionella bacteria at the type of site being assessed.
Why Choose Water Wise Services
At Water Wise our assessors are trained and qualified to a much higher standard than most assessors. As well as being approved by Trading Standards, certified by Trust Mark and recognised as Approved Contractor(s) under the Water Regulations we are also Water Safe registered as required by the Dept of Health's HTM 04-01.
Our Service
Our Legionella risk assessors will measure the performance of your systems against the requirements of the HSE's ACOP L8 or if you are a healthcare site against the requirements of Department of Health's HTM 04-01. We will also inspect any control and prevention records you may have to help assess the risk at the site.
Once the site visit is complete, a written risk assessment will be produced which will include an Action Point List and a site specific Control Scheme with our recommendations to minimise the risk of Legionella bacteria at the site.
