CPD Accredited Online Legionella Awareness Training Courses. Covering the HSE's ACOP L8, HSG 274 and Dept of Health's HTM 04-01.
The HSE's ACOP L8 requires that all those involved in the control and prevention of Legionella bacteria are "competent". The need for regular training is identified in sections 50 & 51 of the ACOP L8. Why is regular training needed? Very simply, because things change. Official guidance is often updated and developed. Even if you use contractors you still need to understand the health & safety requirements for Legionella.
Each course involves working through a series of modules and multiple choice questions which will allow you to demonstrate your understanding of the course. You have a maximum of 5 attempts at each test with a minimum pass score of 70%. Once complete you can download a course certificate which is valid for 2 years. Why 2 years? This is to reinforce the need for regular training as required by the ACOP L8.
