CPD Accredited Legionella Awareness, Control & Prevention Online Training Course.  Covering the HSE's ACOP L8, HSG 274 and the measures required to minimise the risk of Legionella bacteria.

The ACOP L8 requires that Duty Holders, those in control of premises and whoever carries out the required control and prevention measures are "competent" and have regular training.

This Legionella Awareness, Control & Prevention course is ideal for business owners, facilities managers or anyone who needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding of Legionella bacteria and the measures required to minimise the risks.

In this course we look at everything in our Legionella Awareness course &;

• Temperature Monitoring.  The temperatures required to minimise the risk from Legionella bacteria, how quickly water should reach the required temperatures and how often temperatures need to be monitored.
• Scalding Risks & TMV Valves.  How to minimise the risk of scalding, when and where to fit a Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) and how to monitor and inspect a TMV valve.
• Cleaning & Disinfection.  When and how often outlets and cold-water storage tanks need to be inspected, cleaned, disinfected and chlorinated.
• Flushing.  How to identify flushing requirements and to flush effectively to minimise the risk from Legionella bacteria.
• Record Keeping.  The need for record keeping, what to record and how long to keep records for to ensure compliance.
